Is the release basically a few theaters in the U.S., then straight to the video store.

Anything coming to a Canadian theater?

i downloaded it over a year ago

the movie is terrible, one of the worst i've ever seen, theres a reason its not getting released

reply

You haven't seen many movies if its the worst you've ever seen, lol.

Also, you downloaded it a year ago? So it was an illegal unfinished film you are judging.

reply

I saw the the unfinished version a year ago, and it was a decent movie. 5/6 out of 10.

Don't know if the north American version is better. But I'm sure I will pick it up in a 10$ dvd bin somewhere.

reply

If this is the worst you have seen, then watch a Sci Fi Original movie. Much worse.

reply

lol you were actually looking forward to the Wolverine movie.

It was slated to play at a number of theaters for one day only, with two theaters(one in LA and the other I believe in NY) for an entire week.

Usually this is a sign the film was four-walled. Basically, the theaters didn't want to take a chance on it and would only show the film if the distributor paid their house nut up front. If the film sells no tickets the theatre makes its money and the distributor is out. So they only had it playing for one day in most theaters.

Also this was made simultaneously available VOD and many theaters are rebelling, claiming they won't make money if it is already available elsewhere, which is why they may have insisted on upfront payments.

I'm only hazarding a guess that was the situation, I'm not affiliated with the film.

reply

it was finished, & it still sucked, a lot

reply

Have'nt seen it yet however I did somehow manage to stay awake through all of Wolverine and not even Battlefield Earth was as bad as that one. So this movie can't nearly suck as much. Based of a game you know it's bopund to be B movie material

reply

It was just on the Sci-Fi Channel tonight. Seems like an interesting idea, but wasn't carried out the best. Favorite part was seeing Ron Perlman as a priest. Hilarious.

Even though Im not a big fan of this film I honestly feel bad about release like this. I've seen MANY movies worse than this in the cinemas...
