The book

Has anyone ever read the book this is based on? By chance, I happened to see a listing of this because of The Disappearance of Flight 412 is written by the writers of the book. I've been a fan for quite a while, though I feel that Thin Air would have made a better movie. Oh well, hope this movie does not disappoint me when my library finally gets it.

"I cut my finger. That's tragedy. A man walks into an open sewer and dies. That's comedy."

I read Ghostboat and Thin Air decades ago and really liked them both. I`m curious to see what they did with Ghostboat as a movie. God knows screenwriters have screwed up enough good books by "adapting" them to the screen.
Uh-oh... I just wiki`d "Ghostboat" and they changed the whole thing . Atlantic instead of Pacific, Nazis instead of Japanese, etc.

I read the book some 30 years ago and still have the book. Much better than the movie. Every once in awhile I'll read it again. One of my favs. Wish they had followed the book more closely in the movie.
