hoping for a real ghostboat

When I first watched, on tv a couple years ago, I was hoping for a supernatural story.

I knew, even then, that this was based on an American book set in the Bermuda Triangle, but even so, I was hoping for a supernatural element.

Close, but it's actually set aboard an American Submarine in the Pacific.

"I cut my finger. That's tragedy. A man walks into an open sewer and dies. That's comedy."

And the boat is a ghost.

"The hour is come but not the man"

There is obviously a supernatural element in this story.
Under norma circumstances you don't get a submarine from 2nd world war surfacing on
on the ocean all by itself with no one on board.
Also it turns out that the sub itself was sunk 38 years previously and was lying on
the ocean floor.
Which leads one to ask then what was that sub that surfaced?
Where did that come from if it wasn't the Scorpion?
This movie leaves some questions unanswered.
