Who are you calling ignorant?

No, we don't - I think Miriam Margolese (sp?) summed it up best - 'I don't know if he committed suicide, but I believe he did'. Having read his diaries, I agree.

Indeed but I think that they noted that in the way they quoted the reports of the coroner etc. They didn't ignore the fact it was an open verdict which I thought was very good of them, unlike some of the reviews I read prior to watching which took the verdict as 'suicide' as 'indisputable fact' rather than simply very likely but unproven

"topped" himself?

Attempt at a gay joke, mac, or do you not understand the phrase?

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.

I don't understand the phrase in a gay context, beul, if there is one. Either way, it is somewhat disrespectful in my book.

. . . the "top" is the one who takes what's clinically termed the "active" part, and the "bottom" takes the "passive" one.
Yeah, quite obvious, really. Silly me

See ya

On the subject of suicide, a couple of things aren't mentioned in this play. Firstly the reason that the coroner didn't make a decision is that the overdose came from taking normal doses of two different medications (the coroner said that he did not know if Kenny would have known that they contained the same drug). Secondly most of his friends stated that they did not think he would have killed himself while his mother was still alive.
