I highly recommend Dreams on Spec. It offers an in-depth look into what a struggling Hollywood screenwriter goes through in order to get their script written and, hopefully, into production. This documentary also contains informative interviews with such notable scribes as James L. Brooks, Steve de Souza, Nora Ephron and Gary Ross.

If you're a budding screenwriter, don't miss this fine documentary.
