Great novel. Stupid Hollywood.

I likes Carsten Stroud's novels. I've been reading his books for the past twenty years. I was pleased when Black Water Transit got bought. Should have known the egotistical morons in Hollyweird would screw it up. Oh well the novel is probably better, but I would like to see the movie so I could decide.

Well if you know the director Tony Kaye (American History X), then I don't think you'll have to worry about stupid Hollywood.

You misunderstand me. The commentary dosen't apply to the creative work it applies to the business work of Hollywood.

Having just read the novel, I have discovered several things the movie has in common with the book:

Some character names - not physical descriptions (except Casey)

the name Black Water Transit

a confiscated gun collection

a double homicide

I think that's it lol. No house explosion and no love interest/hooker.

I just bought the book to read since we may never see the movie. The 43 second promo on YouTube shows about 18 actually seconds of footage - 90% of which is Karl Urban being tortured. I assume that's not in the book?
