Anyone have any news on when the movie will be released? Last I knew it was supposed to be released January 2007! Any info would be appreciated./

I heard is almost finished being edited. So still awhile, before it comes out. I'm sure that the director wants to make Chris Penn as great as possible,,, which I heard that he is genius in this film!!!

I don't see anyone credited for music yet. I suppose they would have someone write music, so that mght be one of the things they are waiting for.

Eric - Chris was AMAZING in this film. I loved watching him on set, and I'm sure with the editing and all, it's just going to be fantastic.

I can't wait either!

I hope you are right it seems like it was forever ago that it was filmed! I can't wait to see it!

I keep checking up as well to see when this will be released. Does anyone have any updated info? This film is going to be great, as Tom (an old school friend of mine) is a true auteur with great intelligence and vision. I hope we don't have to wait much longer!

A bartender at Spagio's told me he overheard a conversation between a couple of "no names" one night that Sean Penn had bought the rights to this movie and it will never see the light of day. Just throwing that out there.

"I'm just a big, hairy American winning machine."

Unless this film really sucks, it would be an insult to Chris Penn and the other people who worked on it to not show it.

I was on set, and played a bar patron in the film. I didn't see the whole process, of course, but from what I did see, the film couldn't really suck. I will say that I agree with BobStage though... another movie was being touted as Chris Penn's "last film before his death" and it wasn't... this movie was. And I agree that it's an insult to not have it reach distribution. He was amazing in this film, far more so than in any other I've seen him in.

As were the other celebrity actors involved, of course, but the fact is that I've been on a number of movie sets before, and this film was done professionally and with some amazing, underrated talent. I'd love to see it come through also.

I hope that isn't true about Sean . . . it would be really sad for Chris' true blue fans to miss out on this last piece of work that, by all accounts, sounds like a fantastic performance. Sadly, though, if you look at his credits, this film no longer appears . . .
