I am just curious as to what this is rated. I saw it at blockbuster and almost rented it, but then noticed that all it said for the rating was "YRV" (youth restricted viewing). I don't watch anything over a PG-13 rating, and was wondering if that is the true rating, or if they just didn't know how to rate it and so they just made it YRV. If you have a helpful response to this it would be appreciated, because I do want to watch it as long as its not scandalous...

I'd love to see what sort of rating the bible would get. Probably NC-17 for all the sex and violence.
OP, I saw this years ago so can't remember everything but I do know it had no sex or violence. My guess is it because it mentions the "slaughter of the innocents" which caused the baby Moses to be put in the basket in the Nile.
Honestly, I can't remember if the soldiers attacking Hebrew women with babies was depicted or not but if it was, it was very brief and far LESS scary and intense than the same scene in the animated Prince of Egypt, which I'll never forget the darkness of that scene in an animated, basically for kids, production.
