Good tale, but too many plot holes...

Some have already been addressed, but not properly in my opinion:

1.- Neil is having an affair with a married coworker, and doesn't know what the husband looks like nor who it is? Since it's mentioned it's not his first time (Denver), it means he's had practice. I know many adulterers (gym), and they ALL have a key set of rules to get away with their affairs. One of them is never cheat at work, and if they do make sure you KNOW who the poor sap is, just to cover your ass and assess whether such affair is worth the risk (what if he's a drug lord, criminal, psycho, cop, whatever someone you DON'T want to piss off?).
2.- A serial cheater would DEFINITELY smell an angry husband when faced with such irrational psycho who obviously has a PERSONAL beef with you...
3.- No cop would risk dismissing his story, no matter what an unknown woman told him previously. Cops can get sued for such disregaard, you know? And she would DEFINITELY not get away with dropping such a bomb on the cops and just walk away. She would be held in there for hours and grilled. And after him going in they would definitely try to reach her and put them together to sort the truth.

Seriously, absurd.

And BTW, anyone who thinks knockouts like Maria Bello can't get cheated on is naive because:
1.- While she's pretty, do we know she's a good person, or a psycho bitch? No one puts up with a cold/shrewed/unloving/unstable woman forever, no matter how pretty she may be. How she reacted tells us a lot of what she's really like. And the same goes for Tom, no wonder his wife was cheating on him.
2.- A cheater is always a cheater, they don't just start when married. She knew, or should've known, who she was marrying. Then again so should have him.
