Season Finale vs SERIES Finale...

I posted this in another topic but wanted to make sure people saw...


Next week will be the "season finale", but networks often say this instead of "series finale" as to not anger fans. It could also very well mean that NBC has not decided its fate since rumors are that NBC has ordered additional scripts to see what the makers have in store for the show.

Problem is that there ARE a lot of viewers of this show, just not when it first airs. It's one of the highest viewed shows online and through DVR playback. NBC just doesn't know how to get advertisers' moneys worth because of this. The lack of viewers when the episode first airs is what will kill the series.

Good news is last night's ratings increased (not by much though). Each week ratings have been increasing, but it's not fast enough or substantial: 12/5 saw 2.5/4 ratings, 12/12 saw 2.6/5 ratings, and last night was 2.9/5. It's not much, but it's something!

I would not be surprised if NBC cancels this show. They're making no money on it. It's unfortunate because it's very well written, directed and acted.
