It was revealed that Spencer's apology to Lauren was fake, and the call was staged. But I am curious as to who actually called Lauren when she was sitting in her office. I doubt she went along with the staging because she revealed on The View that she had no idea the "apology" happened until she saw it on TV, and that she wasn't on the other line of that call.

No-one. Someone off camera was reading Spencer's "lines" and she was responding so it was paced. OR she was reading or had read what Spencer would be saying and talking on the phone to no-one so they could put the scenes together and make it look like they were talking to each other. Same on Spencer's side.

This would imply that it was staged on Spencer's side and she didn't play along with it, and that they showed another phone conversation Lauren was having and edited it with Spencer's scene.
shareI'm thinking it might have been Stephanie trying to convince Lauren to go to the wedding because Lauren said- With all that history, I don't think I could just sit there. I know Stephanie was trying to persuade Lauren to go to the wedding and was persistent about it. I could be wrong though. Or my second theory is that it was the producers trying to convince Lauren to go to the wedding.
