why arent there more threads on this amazing documentary???

this docu has been reruning on HBO for days and days. I've watched it 4 times against my better judgement. it's heartwrenching and raising some VERY important social questions. I am sitting here all comfortable in my home while this is happening some hundreds of miles away...I'm not sure what to do, its a government issue and I have a language barrier.

Does anyone care?

Immigration is a highly emotive and controversial subject. I for one am completely against it as it places unbearable strain on the National Health Service. I did not enjoy this documentary. The Most Dangerous Man in America, the only other Oscar nominated documentary for 2010 I have seen thus far was far more interesting for me.

It was a very depressing movie. I don't think people realize that American businesses contribute the decisions the people in this documentary make. Why would anyone want to work in a factory for a few dollars a day, when they know the same job in the States would get them much better pay and a safer environment.
This documentary showed the nicer shelters for children. Some children are just shipped to any country in South America. Some children who are incarcerated with adults get assaulted while in custody.

Even though documentaries can be well made, not many people watch them. They would rather watch transforming robots, or skanks on the Jersey shore.
