What was that all about? We hear that Mickey is an alcoholic, and he is obviously overusing prescription medications...especially those prescribed to others, but WTF is with the car scene of him shooting up. It appears to be Heroin, but where does he get it, and is this a new problem?? It seemed weird and out of place in the film.

That scene had me baffled as well. Honestly, to me, it looked like he was mainlining coffee. I didnt even know you could do that LOL. If so, then I guess his other drugs were methamphetamines of some sort? Seems kind of odd to be addicted to uppers and alcohol at the same time though.... Im really confused. Anyone understand?

not a new problem: earlier he'd gone to an NA/AA meeting, and Jimmy found his 9 month clean/sober chip
he started slipping when things started to.. umm.. go wrong for him, taking some of Jimmy's sister's pills then shoveling down whatever he could find.. the fix in the car may have been what he pulled off the wall behind his books when he yelled at his ma for having told their address to Jimmy (a secret 'emergency' stash) or maybe Jimmy gave it to keep him under control - he seemed to have access to some strong meds
