Interesting reimagining of Sunset Blvd

It didn't really hit me until they started talking about the opera that John had written, and it was about Salome. Salome was the great role that Gloria Swanson's character was writing for herself in Sunset Blvd. Then it all came together -- Alan Cumming was Gloria Swanson, David Boreanaz was William Holden, and I believe Henry Thomas was Erich von Stroheim.

Kind of surprised this hasn't come up before. It may not be a remake (the story does go in different directions,) but there's definitely at least an homage in there. Once you start looking at Alan Cumming's John as Gloria Swanson's Norma Desmond, it somehow made the movie that much more fun for me!
