Parallel

Did anybody else notice the parallel when the mother hugged Brandon right before she was going to drive him to Mexico and earlier in the film when she met him the first time when he came home? She was wearing the exact same maroon shirt, same lipstick, and had her hair done the same way and it was almost the same shot. I'm not sure if this was intentional but this was very heartbreaking for me since the first time I guess you could say she was relieved her son was safe but the second time she was scared he wasn't going to be.
