Could absolutely not stand Jeff's character.

I'm just watching through the Saw series for the fist time ever. I enjoyed the first two, but man, I had a major problem with this one. And it's all Jeff's fault. I really didn't have any other huge complaints against this one, except maybe that the twisting rack trap was a little more gag inducing than I needed.

But seriously, I just could not stand Jeff's character. You know how they say that Ted Cruz has a "punchable" face and that just seeing him makes a lot of people dislike him. Well, apply that same rule to Jeff. Whenever he was on screen, whenever he spoke, I just wanted to punch him. And it's weird, because I feel like I should be on his side, since he's a grieving father who lost a child.

But no. Him neglecting his daughter, snapping at her for wanting to sleep with one of her brother's toys to comfort herself in grief; his dumb self righteous speeches against the other victims; his decision to forgive/try to help the other victims after it's already too late in order to appear like he is "the better person"; just all of it.

Maybe if his kid's death was an actual murder and not just a terrible accident, I would feel differently. As is, though, I found him to be an incredibly moronic, hypocritical waste of space. I hope he's locked in there, goes crazy, eats a bunch of broken glass, and slowly dies of painful internal injuries as a result. He should have been on the rack instead of that other guy. That might have actually been fun to watch. It's just too bad his daughter will have to die now too, again because of his own sheer stupidity.

I agree with the OP. I actually cheered in the theater during Saw IV when Agent Strahm shot Jeff dead.
