What is keeping Jeff from leaving the building? SPOILERS

In the original Saw, two men are LOCKED in a bathroom, and are forced to play a game. In Saw II, seven people (plus Amanda) are LOCKED in a house, and are forced to play a game. In Saw III, Jeff is told he has two hours to complete his tests, which are his only way out, or else the doors will be locked. Mind you, he does not know that his wife is being forced to operate on John Kramer, and the tape never specified that his daughter's life is in danger. I know Jeff had a desire to get revenge on the guy who killed his son, but does that lust for vengeance really put aside the fact that he was drugged in his own house and kidnapped? If the tape said the doors will lock in two hours, I would think he would take that time to get the *beep* out of there. There was nothing preventing him from leaving. I know the tape said the only way out was to continue forward, but that winds up being a crock of *beep* since the end of the tests leads to a dead end in a makeshift hospital room. Hell, Saw IV even proves this when Strahm enters the building without a problem, not having to shoot a lock off or anything, and winds up BEHIND Jeff, meaning all Jeff had to do was go the opposite direction he started in.

Also, who was to lock the doors if the two hour mark hit for Jeff? The door Rigg and Strahm entered definitely was not automated, so my guess is that Hoffman was supposed to lock the doors himself after Rigg failed/passed his test, which more than likely could not have happened if Strahm, an FBI agent, was supposed to end up there to pass/fail his test, which was not to kill an innocent man in the process of finding Jigsaw, Amanda Young, and the supposed third accomplice Art Blank. What if Rigg passed his test, and did not cause Eric Matthews to die? What if Strahm found Rigg and the rest instead of following Jeff? Would Hoffman just shuffle Strahm, Art, Rigg and Matthews out of the building and lock the door behind them, or did John and Hoffman just anticipate that Rigg would fail his test, and Strahm would follow Jeff? This is another issue I'd like to bring up. If Jigsaw just anticipates what will happen in these tests, like he told Hoffman he does in a flashback in Saw V, then why is he testing them if he already knows the outcome?

LOL!!! Great points.

I'm not even kidding when I say this but Jeff was an idiot. A lot of his actions were idiotic, including that he felt so much hatred toward people who were caught in a tragic accident and not an intentional, pre-meditated murder. His son's death was an accident, and he should've done a better job of watching over him if he didn't want him riding his bike into traffic. I honestly think Jeff was just too short-sighted to realize there was a way out the whole time, and even a means to get help. Nope. He was just too blinded by his own selfish 'grief'.

I think Kramer still tests people because he wants to be proven wrong, though. In his mind , he likely has a plan of how a situation might play out. I know someone who is an engineer, and he has a similar train of thought. However, I think even he knows he can't predict all that could wrong. I mean, for example, it's possible he predicted Jeff would kill him at the end of this film but also had hope he would not. Same with Amanda. But he was able to predict their inherent nature overcoming their will to accept/change their situations. It's also somewhat the point of his tests. He assumes most of the subjects will die.

Uh yeah, Jeff could leave whenever he wants, but did you miss like the entire movie? The only thing Jeff wants in life is to have revenge on his son's killer, and John has given the opportunity for him to get just that.
