A bit over the top

Mary Poppins this was not! It was the Mary Poppins horror story, lol.

I've known real life nannies that I've met that accompany parent-less kids to horse shows. In my experience, these nannies projected peace. I would suspect they like their jobs? At least, in passing. I wouldn't know if they lived in a Cruella de Vil household or not.

This movie features a severely dysfunctional set of parents of a child that is routinely forgotten. The parents are narcissists. I don't think it matters where the fictional setting takes place, the characters are all self-centered and disrespectful of each other. That is, everyone except the nanny. Poor nanny! Poor kid! There are parents like that everywhere, whether they have a nanny or not.

There are people like that couple in real life. Their self-absorbed characteristics are not exclusive to those secluded to the Upper East Side, in Manhattan, unfortunately. I hope to not meet people like that. They're ridiculously screwed up.

I think I'm going to have to grab the book for this. It's amusing.

You realize it's a comedy that exaggerates some characteristics and caricatures a certain category of people?
