What exactly was Linette's issue?

Was she annoyed that her friend, Annie, was messing up her life by becoming a nanny? She was her best friend but sometimes I got b*Y&* vibes from her.

It's hard not to get those vibes when you have Alicia Keys as the friend and no one else around is black. She tried so hard to be a BAP and it comes through on The Voice and they've only aired 1 episode and she's already annoying

I think her issue wasn't as much just about Annie messing up her life (which I'm sure was part of it). I think her issue was mostly with Annie lying to her mom about it as well as the fact that she just didn't get why she would be a nanny when she had just graduated college.

Once upon a time there was a magical place where it never rained. The end.

I think she was pretty straight up with Annie about it... she thought she was wasting her degree... but she also said something like "our grandparents worked as domestics so we wouldn't have to". I think she was frustrated because she intentionally took work that was beneath her. And as she told Annie, she knew it was wrong or she would have told her mother...

BTW - Ignore that hateful racist crap from the previous poster, hahahaha... :-)

Anyway, friends can be (and should be) straight up with each other, so she was laying out for her...

"We're gonna need a bigger boat..."

So sad that anyone would think certain work was 'beneath' them. SO long as it's honest work, it shouldn't matter. And looking after children is an important job. Annie learned a lot about life and people from being a nanny, but that's of little value to some people because making huge wads of cash and dressing in designer labels seems to be far more important.

I also think Lynette was a bit tired of the one-sided friendship. She was expected to be there at a moment's notice for Annie but Annie seemed to have little interest in what was going on in Lynette's life.
