Stoned Age homage?

i'm pretty confident that the opening scene with the two kids in the car is a direct tribute to the Stoned Age.. anyone else notice this?

It did kind of remind me of Ol Joe and Hubbs conversation about Don't Fear The Reaper being a "p***y song".

Glad I'm not the only one to catch that
