Face it, its a homage people. Its a comedy made on a B grade scale, and well produced and directed by BC. One for the fans YES! One for the mainsteam audience, NO. My kids and I enjoyed it as we are familiar with BC's work, the friends who watched it with us were not, so they had a much differnt opinion. My advice, give it a go, the humour is great, we GOT IT!

The way I see it is this.. If you don't like it because you don't get "it", then you know that this movie wasn't made for YOU. It was made for US to enjoy. It will probably never be a number 1, but it will be watched long after most of the crud released these days are forgotten.

People expect something that isn't terrible. Having Bruce Campbell in it doesn't automatically make it brilliant. But you can't say that to the hardcore BC fans because they are largely morons.

I agree, this was a much better film than I thought it would be. Any Bruce Campbell fan should at least be able to appreciate it if not love it. People take his stuff waaaaay to seriously. This movie is a joke, and a humorous one at that.
I am actually surprised that so many supposed Bruce fans don't like this movie. You all should know what to expect going into it, and this is exactly what I would expect from a movie like this.
A lot of people say its no where near as good as Bubba Ho-tep. OK, are any of his other movies even close to that good? I would put the Evil Deads up there, but just because they are awesome in their own outrageous way, I wouldn't really compare them directly. Don't make silly comparisons like that. This movie is not Bubba Ho-Tep and doesn't try to be.
Anyway, I found this movie to be thoroughly enjoyable as a Bruce Campbell movie. Good fun
