Raimi's characters ruined it

I loved the film, obviously Bruce was amazing.
but Raimi's characters weren't funny at all, the chinese and french guy were just stupid and weren't worthy of any laughs.
i know it's meant to be a silly film but that's taking it too far.

french guy? you mean the italian guy, right?

You put down Ted Raimi's performances in this movie and you can't even get the nationality of the character right. Unlike in Man with the screaming brain Ted didn't steal the movie from Bruce this time but his characters were all funny and great.

what does me not getting the nationality right have anything to do with the bad acting? he was just as annoying in MWTSB.

You're just annoying with your misunderstanding of great actors.

I tend to agree with the OP. He wasn't all that funny but like you said Bruce is the star not him lol.

One more hit of the glow!

I think he did a good job for what the characters was meant to be.

The name is Stephen and I'm male.

its sapposed to be bad acting so it makes Bruce look better...

I generally enjoy seeing Ted, but the racist Chinese caricature wasn't even funny in an ironic way. Ted can't be blamed exclusively for that, though. The character was lame as written, directed, AND acted.

I really liked the Chinese and Italian characters. I really wish that neither had died, but I especially would have liked to see more of the Italian guy. He was truly dedicated to his work. (And seemingly dedicated to doing it as lazily as possible, also)
