I think it's safe to say this movie is for fans of Bruce Campbell and his work in the Evil Dead movies. If you love the ED series and the Ash Character, this movie should be a lot of fun. Bruce knows what his fans want and he delivers. The multiple Ted Raimi characters are also great. If you aren't into this brand of campy, wisecracking horror I don't think this movie would really appeal. And that's okay: it's clearly a movie for the fans, and it's much appreciated. I get why some people wouldn't find it as funny. (Also, if you haven't seen Campbell's other work this might be less appealing.)

Completely understand. It's obvious that this movie is completely for fans and is self aware, but even if you're a fan of Campbell and his other works, there's just a level of forced silliness that some can't see past. For those that love it, great. For those who don't.....well it's okay to not like the movie.
