Now on NETFLIX - What was the point? (spoiler)

I think the point was that Jesse Eisenberg can be depended upon to document your life, right up to the end, and that he will set your corpse afire and push you out into a nearby pond. What more could anyone ask? What a nice boy!

I know it was all not common and ordinary, and that's why Mike O'Connell was able to be so wonderfully original in this film, but the relationship between Mills and K. Roth was most appealing. What attracted this polite, obedient and attractive young man to the outrageous K. Roth? We can only imagine, but it was all so NOT realistic that we can just enjoy it as polished fantasy.

This and so many hundreds of other great films can be streamed to your BluRay player or other device for $7.99 a month - no limit! It's delightful to see a couple of great films (like this one) in an evening and realize they are just two of the multitude of fantastic films you can see for no additional charge, anytime you want. I don't work for them (I wish I'd bought their stock!)

The whole movie feels like a cartoon, and certainly it is over the top. However, I wouldn't really say I found the relationship between Roth and Mills that interesting. It just seemed like another conventional "quiet nice man with crazy guy" chemistry.

As for the point of the movie.... I really don't think this movie has a point, it's just written very sloppily, trying to created (as you said) a fantasy. To me, even as a fantasy it doesn't work very well 'cause nothing very interesting happened.
