How to kill the v-rex?

In the 'Kong to the rescue' level, the one after 'call Kong' level, it is IMPOSSIBLE to kill the v-rex. until this level it wasn't very difficult to kill the v-rexes, but this one just doesn't die, I beat-up the v-rex and make it fall to the ground many times and press the attack button to make Kong break it's jaw, but Kong cannot break it's jaw no matter how many times I try. but it kills Kong easily, i.e. whenever the v-rex goes to bite Kong's neck to kill him, I can't make Kong unhinge its jaws, but before this level it wasn't difficult to loosen attacking v-rexes jaws. mine is a pc version. what could the problem be?

THANKS for the reply. I finished the game. but your reply was not the proper solution. KONG couldn't even enter into rage mode in that level, no matter how much I beat up that v-rex, I couldn't kill it. couldn't even push it away when it came to kill KONG by biting his neck. after I posted the the original post, I looked in the internet to see if there's a solution, stumbled into the official site of this game, in the forums of that site, one person had said that he could not push/clear the boulder in front of a door when playing as KONG, then the reply to that post was that, if played on high resolution there would be such problems, KONG's Power is compromised, so the resolution should be decreased. after reading that, I decreased the resolution in my game and it WORKED, i killed that dino & finished the Game. I had been BUMMED out about not being able to kill that SOB v-rex and not being able to finish that level and play further levels, so now I'm pretty satisfied.
