What the random Roger Ebert? You bitch about slasher films and then give Devil's Rejects a positive review. Sorry I just saw this doc and was a little confused by that fact. I know that he gave Devil's Rejects a thumbs up for being good at what it's trying to do...but why not say the same for the slashers back then? Because one of the people committing the crimes is a woman so everything is ok? Just thought this was odd and decided to mention it.

yes, many of them were terrible and I know Devil's Rejects sort of isn't a slasher flick, but ebert seemed to be against the films not because they were bad but because he found them morally offensive.
