Who's your Favorite Character?

In case anybody remembers the first Dungeon Siege, in that game the people you could hire for your party were a bunch of one-dimensional mercenaries that came out of nowhere. But in this game, the people you can hire have realistic personalities, unique backstories, and even their own personal side quests. These are my personal favorite characters:

1. Amren: He's intelligent and insightful; you can learn a lot from him.

2. Lothar: He's a strong fighter and also dispenses useful advice when needed; the "strong silent type".

3. Taar: She's beautiful, sweet, and sexy.

4. Finala: She can be prickly at times, but her expertise at Combat Magic and her utter hatred of the Morden makes up for it. And she can be friendly when she isn't prickly.

5. My pet Lap Dragon, who I named Draco. A bit obvious, but fitting, don't you think? A Lap Dragon's abilities make you immune to curses and more resistant to lightning and death magic. And the aura really ups your Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence.

As for my least favorite character, that would be Deru. Why anyone would like her is beyond me. She's hostile, selfish, has an unhealthy obsession with treasure and absolutely no social skills. With a friend like her, who needs Valdis?

My favourite character is DERU :) She's sooo funny. She's obsessed with herself, childish, naive, and egoistical (reading your post again, these are the same reasons you dont like her, I see ;)) Do you remember her comments about saving the Dryads from the plague? ("maybe they are not suffering, they are enjoying it?")

I really think you need to go out more, so that you dont take game characters so seriously!

It's a good thing you're just kidding to. It's an RPG. You kind of *have* to get into it. XP

But to be fair, I'm thinking of starting a game with an all-girl's party, so that would include Deru.
