Great movie!

I liked this movie

It was diffrent from other zombie movies, but on some parts it was a little stupid.

But all in all if your a zombie movie fan you might like this movie

Definitly - great zombie flick. The best I have seen besides Dawn of the Dead 04.

Night of the Living Dead 3D is also an underappreciated fun time.

gjcraig, if you think Day of the Dead and Dawn of the Dead '04 are the 2 best zombie movies ever made...you must've only seen 2.

That's thirty minutes away. I'll be there in ten.

Blasphemy - this is the worst zombie flick ever made. 1/10

If it involves Zombies then i'll enjoy it even if it's bad ("stink of flesh" anyone) but i have to say there were a lot of things that annoyed me about this film

1 - the stereotypical black dude who says "hell yeah" a lot

2 - The fact that the american army seems to be populated by 12 year old soldiers

3 - The domesticated zombie

4 - The fact that teenagers seem to be crack shots with any type of gun

countless other things annoyed me though i've certainly seen worse than this but i really do wish people could make better zombie movies

must try harder

Dude, I liked the cuddly, domesticated MEna Suvari-loving zombie. How many zombie flicks have that?

So in conclusion, Simon & Simon weren't brothers in real life, only on television.

Zombies and a lovely blonde woman, I liked it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this film - I came in a little way through (channel hoppin') and I was gripped - Edge of the seat stuff. Yeah it was a bit clumsy in places, but it was a great combination of resident evil / Dawn of the Dead 2004 and Day of the Dead. Even though it is certainly not a remake of Day of the Dead, it could almost be set in the hours before that film starts, and just as in that film there is a domesticated soldier zombie. All in all, if you are looking for a great, fast-paced zombie flick with enough gore, action and pace to satisfy all but the most dedicated Romero purists, then sit back, enjoy and watch those zombies chase their food!

This movie sucked, but it verged on being so bad it's funny, so I kinda had a good time watching it. A badly made piece of refuse, but funnyish if you're a discerning viewer

I'm not a monster...I'm just ahead of the curve

reply

No not the best Zom-flick in the world but very enjoyable...

reply

Agreed.. this isn't in the same league as Dawn, Night or the original Day, or some of the Fulci films, but it's still a pretty watchable film (although zombies on ceilings is a bit of a stretch!). I think one of the main flaws was that it didn't seem to know what it wanted to be.. It felt more like a copy of 28 Days Later than a remake of the "Dead" franchise.

I think, had it been given a completely different name, it would have stood up as a pretty good film. Trying to pass itself off as a remake of Day of the Dead is what (I think) has resulted in a low score, and so much derision.

Very enjoyable zombie flick, I grew up on the Romero fims and this is certainly on a par with the original and much better than Land of the Dead.

Some folks just love to whine I guess, I gave it an 8/10 rating.

reply

i agree. watchable zombie-flick with some pretty bad CGI shots.

very stereotypical stuff like the behavior and talking of Salazar (talking like a 12 year old "hoomiee" is neither funny nor cool) or the very last image.

unfitting on-liners like: "by the power of Grayskull"

zombie acrobatics you have to get used to first (if you can :)

some funny things too like the DJ threatening the soldier with "Celiiiine Diooon".

the rest is mayhem and (cgi-) gore like it has to be.

overall i enjoyed it, despite it's many (maybe too many) flaws 5/10 or let's say i don't want my time back.

Absolutely awful. I would never recommend this movie to anyone who likes zombie movies.

This is without a doubt, THE WORSE FILM I'VE EVER SEEN!
The first poster was exactly right in all their opinions of what a horrific movie this was and the reasons for it being so bad. I question the taste of anyone who found this movie good. For god sakes, it went straight to DVD after it tested so poorly and was to of had a wide release. Vegetarian Zombie, spider crawling zombie, the lead actress could be picked up and broken in two by my 11 year old...Sh!t feast from beginning to end!

I can't say this is the worst zombie movie I've ever seen, that honor goes to Children of the Living Dead. But at least CotLD was entertaining in it's sh!ttyness. This movie just fvcking sucked. I could tell it was a huge POS within the first 20 minutes, but being such a huge fan of the original and zombie movies in general, I was determined to give it a chance. I wish I hadn't. It was atrocious.

"I hath telekinesis." he answered cruelly.

reply

yeah i don't really understand all the hate on this one. sure its not as good as the original and it could be stupid at time (zombies climbing on walls) but with a straight to DVD release i didn't expect much from it and it was surprisingly alright. not GREAT, but believe me FAR from the worst zombie film ever made. and i honestly think this one was better then diary (acting wise atleast)

also i am a huge zombie fan and Romero fan

Wow, this guy is an idiot if he doesn’t understand the date.

Yeah, I liked it!
And I thaught it was cool how they had the zombies move in fast motion!!
.. if you know what i mean:p

First of all, the original Night of the Living Dead is my favorite horror movie, hands down. Last night I watched D of the D, and I liked it, too. Now, it really wasn't on the same level as NOTLD, and it wasn't scary, but it was entertaining. Even my husband liked it, and he's a horror junkie.

My main problem with it was the running zombies. Zombies that move fast just aren't scary to me. And the Bud zombie...well, I liked Bud before, too bad he got bitten. But after that, it was just ridiculous.

Mena was badass, though..lol. Oh, and for the first time I actually wanted the black guy to die first...whew, Nick Cannon got on my nerves big time!
