As a standalone film...
It’s not terrible. It’s glossy, overproduced teenaged horror porn with plenty of guts and bad acting. It’s the cinematic equivalent of commercial pop music, in a fashion. I knew going in that it would suck, but I was blown away by how bad it was. Of course, in the back of my mind, I was still comparing it to Romero’s Day, which I promised myself I wouldn’t do.
Taken alone, it’s not the worst movie. I wouldn’t watch it again, though.
