unexpected best/worst quotes

So, as much as I like Norman Reedus (I bought this without really knowing what kind of movie I was in for, THAT'S dedication, jk) there was a line that his character (Vincent) said that actually made me want to punch him in the middle of the face. It was around an hour and 8-ish minutes in and he says, "You waited for me. That was a beautiful thing to do." I don't know why, and I've re-watched the scene a couple of times to try to understand, but maybe it's because I'm not really buying his sincerity.

Then on the other hand, Harvey Keitel's character (Roger) delivered a line that I really liked. "I saw love in your eyes. And even though it's a love from hell... I want more."

Granted, when read alone, I'm thinking they both sound like crap lyrics to sappy songs. But the delivery of both made them feel how they do.

It was a day like any other except it was 14 hours long and everybody was wearing pastels
