shameful

With the number of starving people we have in the world, its absolutly shameful that movvie productions use such large amount of food products as props, that you know only gets thrown away in the end.

I thought about the same thing from another Disney channel movie, Eddie's Million Dollar Cookoff, but how can we tell that the food they use in movies is real, edible food?

reply

it is

Well..in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory they made stuff to look like chocolate for the waterfall thing..so it's possible they're not using real yogurt and stuff.

Lorenzo D. Easy, the color of the water was done using a mixture of

baked beans! Reported by HBO in the look behind the scenes of

"Charlie And The Chocolate Factory." Anyone who has eaten any brand

of canned baked beans knows that these are dark brown in color.

And the type with added molasses is very brown! Just look at Bush's

baked beans. No, not connected with President George W. Bush! A

different Bush family in Tennessee.

Its not about the money they waste, its the FOOD they waste.

so why dont you get off mommy and daddy's computer and go do something about instead of whining about on a random movie board

Arguing on the internet and appearing in the Special Olympics, even if you win your still a retard

reply

...the food they used may not have been wasted...they could have given it to the cast and crew or something like that...or there could have been a bunch of empty containers and they only put food in the ones that were open...however i dont think that there was any edible (or real) food at all because if there was it probably would hve spoild over the long periods of time they filmed the movie...

reply

even if they did waste it, its their money to waste. why dont you donate all your money to starving people then you can talk.

reply

I already do

reply

They wouldn't use real food; real food would spoil...

I was a production assistant once and you are right, they would waste anything to make a movie. I remember that we spent $ on two fans to keep the clients (the producers who were investing in the commercial being made) and they basically had to throw them out because they could not store them or carry them back. When movies or commercials are shot, many of the things they buy are brand new and they end up throwing them out. It is much cheaper than storing them or taking them back. The accounting producer allowed us to take one home if we wanted; however, I was so beat after the day, I totally forgot to take one.
