Capitalist Neocon Garbage

I think its disturbing that Disney is trying to sell its viewers on the thought that rich spoiled snobs actually have the capacity to change. In real life the father would have taken all the companies money snd left them employees high and drt, and the girls would not have sacrificed anything to help anyone else. This movie is just a load of neocon garbage.

now hat is a very offensive steretype.

Rich people only help other people when they think they can get something out of it.

reply

That is SO disrespectful for you to say! Oh, and I have a little newsflash for you: MONEY DOESN'T GROW ON TREES!! Believe it or not, some people who are rich actually WORKED to get there. Some people have worked hard and deserve those rewards they're getting. Now in the case of the Callum girls, yeah, they were just born into the right family at the right time. but that doesn't mean they couldn't change. Anyone can change, for good or bad. And I think this something you need to remember about rich people: THey're still people. Even if some of them are snobs, even is some of them do spend all their money on themselves and never give to charity. They're still people, just like the poor or the average people.

Jesus, I am SO in love with YOU!

I recently found a news item that completley contradicts everything you foolishly believe about both capitalism and neo-conservatives. It's an article about the 2005 Income Tax returns of President George Walker Bush, and Vice President Richard Cheney:
http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/04/14/bush.taxes.ap/index.html

Here's another one to go with it:

Now, allow me to introduce you to some more fictional characters who are rich, and aren't spoiled brats. NOTE: The creator of these characters is anything but a conservative:

No one deserves to be condemned simply because they have a larger amount of money than the rest of us.

People who horde money at the expense of other, are evil.

Well then, sell everything you own, blow your whole bank account, and spend the rest of your life living on the street, if you think it'll solve all the problems of the world! Just don't complain to this board when you find it doesn't work!

reply

<No one deserves to be condemned simply because they have a larger amount of money than the rest of us.>

Yes, they do. I never said anyone should be living on the streets. But why should a person be allowed to live in a multi million dollar mansion when other people are homeless. They should live in more sensible houses and their excess money should be taken away to provide housing and jobs for the poor and homeless.

reply

Yes, they do.

Not if they aren't doing anything wrong. Did you read those links about the tax returns of the President and Vice President, and how they both donated large amounts of money to charity, including those related to survivors of Hurricane Katrina? It really disproves what Kanye West said about how Bush feels about black people, but then the fact that he has a more racially and ethnically diverse cabinet than Clinton should be enough to do that.

They should live in more sensible houses and their excess money should be taken away to provide housing and jobs for the poor and homeless.

No, because the excess money that you complain about is already used to pay their employees, if not somebody else's employees.

Being rich is wrong! I'm suppose to believe something said by this president? You're kidding right? Who cares if Bush's cabnet is ethnicly diverse. They're just a load of Uncle Tom race traitors.

reply

I'm suppose to believe something said by this president?

If it's confirmed by an impartial source, YES!! The same goes for any other President!!

Who cares if Bush's cabnet is ethnicly diverse. They're just a load of Uncle Tom race traitors

"Uncle Tom race traitors?!" Now you're just letting your bigotry shine right through, swissroll97!! Any non-white in a position of power is somehow an "Uncle Tom Race Traitor," to you, huh? Ice-T is rich(http://imdb.com/name/nm0001384/), is he an "Uncle Tom race traitor?" Maybe we should go back to the days when non-whites had no political clout whatsovever, and were entirley subservient to us white folks!! Is that what you want?!

reply

Any minority who sales out their race and identifies themselves as a republican and woorks for a republican adminastration is an Uncle Tom.

The mainsteam media is not impartial, the reigns are tightly held by corporate entities, who's only critisism of the Bush adminastration is just for show.

reply

Then you might as well throw Frederick Douglass on that list too, buddy, because he frequently associated with Abraham Lincoln, a REPUBLICAN!

Give that bullsh*t a rest! The mainstream media is more critical of Bush than you realize, and even when they were more critical of past Presidents, especially Johnson and Nixon, they were as "corporate controlled" as they are today! It's your fault if they're not as hostile towards The White House as you want them to be!!

reply

If Lincoln were alive today he would be a democrat.

The media is no where near critical enough of the President. Its all a smoke and mirrors show. If the media was seriously against Bush, as all Americans should be, they would report the truth about 9/11, they'd be calling for impeachment hearings and popular uprisings against the new Hitler.

reply

If Lincoln were alive today he would be a democrat.

For that to take place, he'd have to change his mind about the right of blacks to vote... then again, he'd have to do that to be accepted as a modern Republican as well.

If the media was seriously against Bush, as all Americans should be, they would report the truth about 9/11, they'd be calling for impeachment hearings and popular uprisings against the new Hitler.

Now I know for sure that you're an idiot, since you retardedly compare Bush to Hitler, and are another 9/11 conspiracy freak! And thanks to your condemnation of capitalism, I can tell that you're specifically a left-wing 9/11 conspiracy freak! Here's a hint for you, crackpot: The media did report the truth about 9/11. That means, it never pandered to the interests of freaks like you... and never will! Don't like it? Too bad!

reply

No, the media has supported the Bush lie that Osama Bin Laden and Islamic terrorists were responsible for 9/11,

reply

No, the media has supported the Bush lie that Osama Bin Laden and Islamic terrorists were responsible for 9/11

It's not a "Bush lie." It's a FACT, which Osama Bin Laden admitted to on numerous occasions! It's also a fact that relatives, employees of the victims know, not to mention telephone operators, because they had to listen to their phone calls from the hijacked flights! If Bush wanted to lie, he could've just as easily said that Iraq or Red China was involved. He did neither! The closest thing he did was point out that Iraq was a sponsor of terrorism, and could easily give them WMD's if he wanted to, which would be a worse attack than 9/11!

reply

You can't make a cell phone call from an airplane. How do you know Osama claimed credit? You can't speak arabic, how do you know the US goverment is giving you a real translation of his tapes?

reply

But why should a person be allowed to live in a multi million dollar mansion when other people are homeless.

Um...........because they worked hard and earned it.

reply

Well, within reason. It's not that it is a bad thing to live in a multi million $ mansion because that mansion provides jobs to people who build it and people who sell it. Of course if you work for that millionaire, they should be paying you well enough. That would be part of it and is one reason why the economy today is doing so bad. Many big corporations are looking to skim worker's pay even though they are all ready rich enough. It is not a problem if they have a lot of money that they worked hard for; however, it is a problem when they steal from other people, despite having it.

reply

No one deserves to have an obcenly large amount of money, when there are people in the world who are homeless and starving.

So.....if I worked really hard and became very rich(talking millionaire) I would have to give all that up to help people? Personally I would feel a moral obligation to donate some of that well-earned money to charities and people who really need it, but here's another newsflash: I would have the right to keep the money I earned. And in America today alot of the people who are starving or can't afford a home are just too lazy to do their own work. I think it's great to help people when they need it, but some people need to just get their lazy butts up and start taking responsibility for themselves.

Jesus, I am SO in love with YOU!

reply

That is not entirely true. Poor people have a hard time finding jobs as it is. Most do not have homes and you need an address to even be able to get a job. How would you ever get a check mailed to you without a mailbox?

I take it you never heard about that factory owner in Massachusetts who's plant burned down and compensated all his employees more than a decade ago. Or the fact that a rich captialist like Bill Gates frequently makes huge charitable donations, as have many other high-profile capitalists of the past 175+ years. No, you just go along with the old marxist myth that all captialists are robber-barons who might as well all wear top-hats and pointy moustaches.

The Republicans and Democrats both want the rich to get rich and the poor to stay oppressed slaves. They're both the same brand of Capitalist pig dogs!

Communists want EVERYBODY to stay oppressed slaves, except for high-ranking politburo members!! Whatever flaws capitalism may have, it still beats the *beep* out of the communist tyranny you advocate!!

Read some of Swissroll's posts. I think we are arguing with a 12 year old.

Oh, I already have. That's how I know he's a communist, because he proudly told somebody else he was. Here's a fact about capitalism that even a 12-year-old who lacks a degree in economics can tell people like swissroll; Whenever spoiled heiresses like those depicted in this movie go on these big spending sprees, guess who benefits -- WORKERS! That's right, the people who are employed by the stores where rich little Daddy's girls get lavish items actually make money off these brats.

reply

The workers don't benifit, the stores where the money is spent benefits.

reply

The workers don't benifit, the stores where the money is spent benefits.

The workers do benefit, because they work at those stores! So do other people who work for the rich! In case you forgot, the last time we had a "Luxury Tax," the poor who made money off the rich suffered more than the rich, which was the same thing that happened duing the previous time we had a luxury tax!!

Bottom line: Taxing the rich to death in the hopes of helping the poor does not work!

reply

Employees are nothing but slaves, that's no benifit.

I'm reminded of that great folk tune, Tax the rich feed the poor till there are no rich no more.

reply

Employees are nothing but slaves,

Not if they get paid.

I'm reminded of that great folk tune, Tax the rich feed the poor till there are no rich no more.

And I'm reminded of how much poorer people who were hired by and built goods for those rich people you hate so much got! You obviously forgot that the same song has the line, "I'd love to change the world, but I don't know what to do."

reply

Paid? HAHA, you call the pitence most employees are give being paid? The CEO of Exxon gets millions in retierment bonuses and the guy who does actual work pumping gas get five bucks an hour, THAT is economic slavery.

reply

guess I shut you up with that one!

reply

You didn't "shut me up," douche-bag! I just didn't see your stupid posts until today! Regardless of how much the CEO of Exxon, or any other company gets, people still get paid under captialism. And if you think rich people don't pay taxes, you're living in a fantasy world!

reply

of course the rich don't pay taxes. they pay accountants to set up as many tax shelters as they can and the rest they just cheat on.

reply

Erm not to disrupt a very educational debate but this is a post on a film that was made for kids. I'm sure the producers really didn't think all that deep when they made it, it was just another extremely simple plot that they thought they could use to make yet more money. Things shouldn't be taken so seriously.

reply

Disney and the rest of the corporate media elie now exactly he power they wield. They design these shows as puff pieces glorifing greed and capitalism to unsuspecting minds to young to understand the real truth about the evils they are being presented.

They donate to charities because it is a tax break for them. Most of those charities, a portion of the money goes into pockets of the employees than to the people the charity is suppose to help. Do not be fooled!

I agree with you, dionheather. It may be difficult to become extremely rich, but unless you have some type of mental or other serious medical problem, you should be able to at least make enough money for food, a home, etc. Some people just can't save up money or spend it on the wrong things...........or don't work.
