Can ne one explain what happened in the movie...did henry just make up the story in his notebook?

Yeah, well kinda...
He's a horror fan, always making picstures and stuff -- and like Wizard of Oz, he uses people in his real life in the stoy he made up in his imagination. HOwever -- since his Dad was a murdered as well, he knows it's in his and his brothers blood - hence the title. but the last murder IS real... i know, kinda twisty -- but i like that it's different. better than the straight up slasher crap i rent sometimes...
I actually thought about shooting myself in the foot when i watched this last night. But I didn't have a gun. I saw the cover and thought flesh eating, chains, torture and made by Maple pictures, I'm getting this. I was watching it and I was all "WTF is the rom com BS?" I actually said "WTF" because i was too pissed to say the whole thing. I wanted the movie to end it was so stupid. The murders were not even gory, the story made hardly eny sense, and it was a bunch of friends sleeping with each other. I thought this was the stupidest movie I have watched this year.

yes he made up the story in his head whilist he drew it in his notebook. he knen what was happening and what very possible could of occured, and actually used what was happening in his life at the moment to derrive the plot of his story. the last murder was real also. the step-father would of ended up killing the mother and what happened in his story would of ended up happening if the step-father did not leave. this movie waas stupid i would not recomend it but it was ok juat as something to do.
