Been there, done that

This is a fun idea. No problem there. Not original, but that's ok, too. Aerosmith in 1984 and Bon Jovi in 1988 gave cameras to audience members and culled footage for videos. If Beastie Boys take credit for this as an original idea, shame on them.

Nothing is original, i dont think they'll take credit for it as original either, didnt they do almost the same thing with the shadrach video? but like... 4 video cameras?

reply

he got the idea to do it from old concert footage hes got of some band were hes got like a thousand bits of the concert rangeing from a couple seconds to minutes

What about Blair Witch Project?

reply

Or any Quentin Tarantino movie?

Zing!

reply

Yeah, shame on them. The next thing you know, they'll make a short movie that'll be played in sync with their songs, and call it a "music video". Thank God they'll be people out there like you to remind us all that it's been done before, because otherwise, gosh.

reply

wow you are probably the biggest moron in the world

reply

a real trooper. thanx for being in here and reminding us how bored you are and that you've noticed everything there is to notice in the world in order to let us cretins know what's been done before. whew! try inseminating a camel.

THe Beasties could actually admit it was their idea and not seem arrogant. If you are familiar with them at all they are the biggest jokers (in a good way). Hornblower claims that George Lucas stole the idea of Star Wars from him (hence the poster). No one really knows when they are serious or joking around.

reply

No it's completely different becasue both Aerosmith and Bon Jovi are God awful.

It's the music, man, it's the music.

You prolly claim McDonald's stole the idea of the hamburger...

The BB's have only just merely been at the top of record sales for the last 20 years because they rock and rap, rap and rock, back and forth, forth and back....

They are pure quality talent... they have the pure talent that many rappers will pay respect to...

Ask Eminem who his biggest influence was, and he will say the Beastie Boys...

You wont find any young modern rappers with any talent dissin' the Beastie Boys...

They all know they Beasties started as teens and still keep stuff real...

They may be in wheel chairs when they are 120 years old and still proving their talent...

And no rapper with a brain ever gonna say the Beasties aren't the major bomb...

Now hear that...

Beasties deserve all the respect Frank Sinatra got...
