Authenticity Key

I got my copy of AOE3 for christmas, and i just got a new computer. The bad news is i lost my cd case for the game and i don't have the authenticity code for the game...can anyone help me out?

The easiest way to overcome this problem is to get yourself down to your computer games shop, pay the attendant $50 or so, and you will get a new CD and CD key.

Thats the only way.

There is the obvious thought of a crack or a keygen but remember these are illeagal so i wouldn't recomend them unless you do acctually have the game.

I would suggest you call Microsoft. I had a similar problem with a copy of XP a couple years ago, and they were very nice. It is worth a try. (Also, I suggest that you start writing down the codes somewhere in case you ever lose a case again. Maybe a text file on your computer that you backup.) Good Luck

This sort of thing always amuses me. There seems to be some kind of irrational fear of suggesting...ILLEGAL PRACTICES!

Granted I tend to buy far more games than I have ever been known to acquire illegally, and in almost every case I've gone and bought the actual game after discovering that the game was really good. That's how I sometimes do it you see:

I download the game, and if it's good I pay for it and toss my pirated version away. Black and White (1&2), Dawn of War, Medieval 2, Rome Total War. I tested them all first before I went out and legally purchased them. This is frowned upon and even condemned in many circles, though I've yet to really come to grips with the problem yet as I see nothing wrong with it as long as I do pay for the game at the end of the day.

If you have the game, and you've paid for the game, why the hell shouldn't you crack the thing? I often do it just to avoid having to hunt for disc, as my girlfriend and I often share games between computers. But there seems to be a core of people who recoil in fear and disgust whenever someone even mentions "piracy".

There's no point in me going on, I haven't the energy.

Yeah, I always laugh at people who don't break copyright laws. Their so not cool.
I also taunt non-smokers.
