Which one is better? Zinda or Old Boy...

As they say "All is well that ends well", the same goes , as for the execution of the hindi flick- Zinda. I guess even if the director of Zinda got "inspiration" from the Korean director, however, the output, compared to other contemporary Indian flicks is truly far ahead of time and superbly done too.

Someone who has seen Old boy will agree that the story was rightly "modified" to suit Indian pallette, a good lounge music thrown in, topped with a faster stroyline than the original one.

At the end, though copied (but what the heck...every second bolly-movie is inspiration from some other movie), but very well executed work....

No excuses for simply lifting a film just because the copied version is well made. Sanjay Gupta has copied films like Reservoir Dogs(cult classic) and U- Turn before. I believe he along with Milan Luthria have a great ability to visualise sequences in a sleek manner. Now only if this ability is combined with a good storyline, we will have a true crossover director

Zinda is the biggest pile of steaming s**t ever made - its a true insult to a the original which is Cult status.

I couldn't even finish watching Zinda while the "Corridor Scene" was going on (How the hell could they mess THAT scene up?). Either the magic that Oldboy gave was worn off or Zinda itself was just half-ass and only exists to tarnish a true classic.

It was horrible and im sad I ever watched it. Oldboy is amazing and it should be left the way it was made and not be remade in some other country. If indians want to watch the movie get a copy of the korean version and learn to read some subtitles.

oh, the humanity! this remake is a travesty of one of the greatest movies of all time! if hollywood's version is as insipid as bollywood's, then heads will have to roll... <shaking head in disgust>
