Is it probable that the blue and red dresses Vera wears are to depict here as Mary?

i heard this was full of biblical references, but since I've not much knowledge about those things I only spotted a very obvious one where Vera (the mother) asks Eva (Eve!) for the apple. And the child is hesistating (ok because Vera called her Bunny)

(ok there's the puzzle the children are solving, i wonder what biblical story it refers too?)

I am pretty sure the puzzle the children are working on features an image of the Annunciation, when the angel Gabriel appears to Mary to tell her she's to conceive the child of God. This would tie in nicely with the other posts - including her wearing of red and blue and white, colors associated with Mary, and also her discussion with Robert as to the child being her husband's but not belonging to them (i.e., to God).

Yes- in fact they are working on the Annuciation (actually by Da Vinci). Another biblical reference is when Flora/Frida reads from the new testament at bedtime from Corinthians.
