BOYCOTT

airports are no playground. in today's age of terror and hijackings, the last thing that we need in this world is a comedy set in an airport. how about we let the airports get back to protecting our country from the unibombers of the world. thank you, and i pray that you help me in my cause.

So let me see if I got this right, you are saying that if I refuse to watch this kids movie that I will prevent air-plane terrorists? Sorry, I am not following you.

You are saying that by not watching this movie we will allow the airports to "get back to protecting our country from the unibombers of the world." How do you figure that? Is this movie distracting airport security personel? Are you saying that the movie hurts homeland security because the security guards in the movie had to quit their jobs at the airport to be in the movie?

Instead, are you saying that airport security was hindered due to the filming of this movie? Well, this wasn't filmed in an airport. They took different locations and made the locations look like an airport.

In this movie, kids do evade airport security. I'll give you that. But the movie is make believe. Why does this movie present a threat to homeland security?

I am not against your desire for safety, but if you want to tighten airport security, boycotting a movie that fakes airport scenes is not the most effective way to do it. Instead, write to Congress or something.

Okay, I am 14 and I have more common sence than you.

It's a movie, and it's completly fictional. I mean, sure, safety is obviously important. But what does this movie hurt? I mean, if a soon-to-be hi-jacker decides that he'll watch this to get "ideas" then he's pretty much not going to make it through the front door since at no point was this movie even romotely realistic, I mean, they, in reality, would have caught those kids early on. And alot more of it was fake, complaining about this movie is like complaining about Deck The Halls's realism. It's a movie, find something else to complain about.

Well, no, and I wasn't trying to be rude, I wasn't aware that you actually enjoy recieving those notifications, I unchecked the box to recieve them, but if I had known that you would freak out about something so pointless, then believe me, I would have never replied to your post.

But just so that you know, people only do the "stupid" thing you are talking about because even if you click Reply to the original post, it still puts your message on the bottom. So really, what is the point in reading all of the posts, then going back, clicking on the original poster, then clicking Reply there, when there is already a convenient little Reply button on yours?!

And, I'll bet, from all of your nagging and complaing about this, you're actually making people like replying to your messages when it's actually someone else's because really, no one cares what you have to freak out about. It's pointless, I mean really, of all other things to cry about, do you really think this—a message board for a rated C- child's movie—is the place to be complaing about anything?

now, im a lover of horror movies so its natural for me to have to deal with people like you all the time. you dont realize that this is JUST A MOVIE. thats all. granted i think that its unrealistic and those kids would have been in alot of trouble not just "oh youve been bad now sleep on concrete" but hey, its for kids.

its people like you that ruin things for the rest of us.

We should also boycott star wars because are kids shouldn't be blowing up planets!

Its a movie....

Uh its only a movie a bit of harmless fun for kids. You cant tell me when you were a kid you dident want the free run of place?.

one....I don't think the unabomber ever went to an airport....he just mailed his bombs out of his tin shack in the middle of nowhere
and two....Airports are a primary base for planes to transport large numbers of people from place to place. I don't think they have any part in protecting our country. Now security working there do the protecting.

Okay, this movie is FICTIONAL! I'm sure I'm just paraphrasing every other person on this board, but this is unrealistic! Oh, c'mon, just walk in a airport. What will you see? You'll see hundreds, maybe thousands, of people walking around, finding something to do to kill time, especially when there are delays. Nobody is going to be sleeping thru the entire night. People will be suffering from jet lag, watching their bags, or at food courts eating. Security is, of course, very tight. But, once again, FICTION! It's called a movie.
