Just saw it and... well... it's disapointing

I saw March of the Penguins several times in the theatre (always taking someone different to see it because they wouldn't normally see it on their own) and, by the third time, I turned to me friend and said, "You know, when this comes out on DVD, we could Mystery Science Theatre 3000 the hell out of this." So, needless to say, I was extremely excited when I heard there was going to be a Farce of the Penguins.

After watching it though, I am truly dissapointed. Not very funny, not a clever story and cetainly not living up to it's potential.

It really makes you wonder why it took so long for them to make this movie. With all the brilliant people who lend their voices to this film, you would think there would be more whole-hearted laughs or, at the very least, some belly busting chuckles but there really weren't.

Bob Saget and his team would have been better off just re-releasing March of the Penguins with a voice-over track.

Bottom line: it lacked in creativity, it lacked in humor and it even lacked in continuouity (there's a part where Bob Saget's penguin is courting Christina Applegate's penguin who's never had a baby before but yet, hides a baby on her feet in one of the wide angle shots.). So basically, it's worth a rental if you like these kinds of films but don't expect too much as it seriously under-delivers.
