Thank you, critics... you've done your job quite well!

My fiancée and I laughed our butts off at this movie.... a 3.8 on the IMDB scale currently. In our opinions, Bob Saget has redeemed himself for his "Full House" & "Funniest Home Video" years exponentially.

When I was deciding whether or not to view this movie, I did what I always do when it came time to view a piece of cinema... and read what others had to say about it. Ironically though, after reading all of the names of the folks who lent their talent to this film, I decided that those who hated the film could *bleep* themselves (I'm self-censoring... and believe me, it hurts!)

I don't see how anyone with ANY sense of humor could avoid laughing during this flick... how the hell is that possible? I mean, I saw the actual documentary in the theater, and yet found so much irony and poignancy in this production... does that make me a bad person?! One reviewer said "There were no laughs to be found in this film." (I'm obviously summarizing this retarded person's opinion... but screw 'em). Has "Potty Humor" gone the way of the do-do bird in our American culture?!

Don't get me wrong... I am one of those rare people who DID NOT enjoy that guy having intercourse with a dessert in American Pie. I found that entire series to be extremely stupid, and have many friends who would kill me for uttering such blasphemy on the internet. Yet, I enjoy a good SATIRE, which THIS film was one of the best examples of which I've seen since THIS IS SPINAL TAP. That film mocked the rock culture in the strongest way, and receives (rightfully so) high ratings to this day, yet a movie MOCKING a tepid documentary about a bunch of flightless waterfowl cannot be enjoyable as well?

Hell, I loved the ORIGINAL penguin movie. I like listening to Morgan Freeman casually read his script as much as anyone, and little waddling creatures that appear to be wearing tuxedos are always good entertainment. But, when Bob Saget took what we were ALL THINKING and put it onto the screen in his satiric FARCE, why did so few GET THE *BLEEP BLEEP BLEEPING* JOKE?!!!!!!

Explain this to me, oh haters of this film. And try to remember... Samuel "Get these *bleeping* Snakes off of my Plane" Jackson narrated... that ALONE *bleeping* HAD to cause SOME KIND OF LAUGHTER, before he even finished his first sentence. Irony, anyone?

I'm sorry, haters of this film, but I think that you just may all be mentally deficient. I watched this damn flick sober, and was CRYING with laughter midway... how can you, in all seriousness, NOT enjoy this movie? Are there people with sticks THAT FAR up their buttocks? I MUST UNDERSTAND THE LOW RATING... HELP ME!!!!! Explain to me why Lewis Black provided NO HUMOR into this movie.... I beg of you!

I mean no hatred towards those of you who disliked this movie, but I just simply don't understand your reasons for hating this movie... and I'm a well-read individual with tastes in both dark, artsy films and summer popcorn flicks... and this was a... excuse me... *BLEEPING* classic parody!

To be fair, I haven't read ONE SINGLE POST on this board about this film before writing this, so attack as you see fit. I just saw the movie, and after seeing its pathetically low rating, had to chime in. May the attacks upon my personal character begin now.... I shall retaliate appropriately.

I just skimmed your post, but you're right. I just watched this tonight and I thought it was really funny. The one line about Amsterdam at the begin absolutely killed me. And one of the last scenes whenever the three penguins are on the beach next to the Statue of Liberty. Oh man, that was absolutely hilarious.

Hell, the VISUAL they provided during the Amsterdam quote had me falling on the floor... for all it's inherent weaknesses, this is QUITE an under-rated flick.

omg so funny! It makes me feel a lot better that there is someone else out there who appreciates this kind of humor like I do.

Frankly I thought it was a waste of talent, most of these folks are funny in there own right but this to me wasn't funny. Then again I never thought any of the America Funniest home Videos bits Saget did with his voice over was funny and I thought this was nothing more than a AFHV bit drug for a hour and a half with as much bathroom humor it could muster to make it adult humor. Now for the record I like some low brow, sophomoric humor but this just wasn't funny to me. Maybe I'm to too, maybe my taste is different, maybe this was a crappy movie. It was mildly funny for a few minutes, then it was just tiresome. So whiles it at 3.9 on IMDB, to me it's about 3.8 too high.
If you liked it, great I'm happy for you. I'll never waste my time on it again.

I showed the film to two of my friends and they thought it was awesome.
