This documentary was fantastic. So raw and real, and so intensely upsetting. But it really offered a clear look into the horrifying reality of what happens in Thailand, and other similar places worldwide.

Just saw this doc last night on the cbc, and it was fantastic! I have family living in Thaialand and I have been to Bangkok 6 times and what really bothers me are these "falang" like that dude from the UK who looked like a bum and acting really rude with no respect what so ever and to top it all off HE TEACHES ENGLISH AT AN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL!!. And another thing is its facinating to see these guys go into a downward spiral when they come to Thailand because they come as tourists for a couple of weeks with loads of cash and then they get addicted to the scene and end up staying for years! They eventually end up living in a roach infested sh!t hole divorced and with no money. Thailand is like crack to them because when they get addicted they can't get out.

I just saw this documentry last night too, around 2 am eastern time on CBC. Very tragic. The men who continue the spiral down path for these young girls.....should watch this doc and realise what they are doing.

Yes it was really good. I just saw it on TV and then I logged in here to learn a little more about this film.

I can't believe some of the haters here. I guess they need to save their own faces after having been falangs destroying the lives of girls like Pla.

The social and economic situation for many people in Thailand don't look too bright. I don't know what poverty is in my own daily life and I don't have any solution for girls like Pla, but this film gave me a chance to learn more of their situation.

'Nobody cares about Pla. But it's ok.'

Poverty and prostitution is alive and well EVERYWHERE, not just Thailand. It annoys me when westerners treat foreigners like lost little kittens when the exact same thing is going on right in their backyards in the United States and elsewhere.
