Another warming mockumentary down our throats

Oh great! More propaganda from Hollywood!

I don't know where you're getting that but certainly not from this film. Oh wait that's right...you haven't seen it yet. Maybe you should before you comment about something you are clueless about. Open wide and insert foot.

Oh....I love how you put that. Truer words were never spoken.

reply

He may or may not have seen the film, but he probably has seen the trailer and that immediately points out that this film is, as he so correctly put it, yet another global warming mockumentary.

I live in a country where it's becoming almost imposible to live in summer months. Not to mention the total lack of any rain during the summer. Not to mention the warm weather on winter. Basically what u're saying is purely Bush propaganda. Go and free some other criminal, cause that's the new Bush hobby

reply

Obviously some bleeding heart liberals from Hollywood (meaning all of Hollywood) saw those pictures of polar bears standing on floating pieces of ice and decided to make a movie out of it.

reply

Exactly how is propoganda when there are severe climate changes and the two life forms that this movie is on are losing their habitats? Oh no we are being brainwashed to think this earth is falling apart!

reply

The question is not whether or not there is climate change since the climate is constantly changing (up or down, throughout history) but whether or not humans have the power to speed it up or slow it down. Personally, I find the explanations about global warming and what we can do to prevent it all more than just a little bit egotistical. Just more crap about how powerful we humans are and how much we can control the earth. Sure.

As far as all the scientists of the world agreeing about global warming, hardly. Since when does a group of people all agree on anything even when the truth is clear to the average person? What seems clear to me is that there is a lot of money to be made if you have something to say about global warming. You may make that money by making another "An Inconvenient Truth" or by getting a grant to further your studies or you science department.

There is a lot of money to be made in the oil industry for sure but how much more money do you think will be made by convincing the masses that they need to switch over to another power source? Billions maybe but I would guess trillions.

reply

Yes, but in the mean time, one should squeeze out as much money one can make from oil as possible ... only when oil is completely gone does one do an about-turn and proclaim the absolute salvation from alternative fuels.

That's economics. That's called intelligent.

reply

How the hell is the movie down your throat? are you being forced to watch it? idiot.

This movie looks dumb. I won't be seeing it.

Okay you have to be pretty mindless in thinking that this movie is a hoax, fake, or just some hollywood production.
You *beep* dumb***, scientists spent so long in the arctic just to make this movie. I dont even see how this can be a propaganda. Do you even know the true MEANING to that word? Because I dont think you do.
They made this movie in order to SHOW US what the hell is happening to the climate changes, and how its effecting the animals within that area. How global warning is effecting everything, how were the main cause for it too.
The movie isnt brainwashing us in anyway.

People today are seriously getting more dumb by the moment. I mean I have my dumb moments, but seriously..I'm actually worried of how stupid people are getting by the day.
And you thinking that this is propaganda, or a hoax is proof.

reply

Your comments actually made me laugh out loud, and not in a good way. "The movie isn't brainwashing us in any way." Good Lord, the movie is COMPLETELY brainwashing!

I will tell it to you very simply so that you can understand it: The average climate on the planet may be warming up slightly, but if it is, that is not a bad thing; the world has been warmer in the past than it is now, and it has also been much colder in the past than it is now. This is a natural cycle of average temperature variation that has been going on since time immemorial and mankind has absolutely nothing to do with it and it is nothing at all to worry about for people or polar bears.

reply

Exactly, we didn't cause it and there's nothing we can do to stop it. We simply must ride it out or die.
