'My God, I'm Blind!' subtitle at the very end - Huh???

Ok, so this weird subtitle thing happened at the very end of the movie on my DVD, and I wanted to know if it happened to anyone else, and if anyone knows what it meant.
When the last quote appears at the end("what's to do if mercy..."), just as it fades out, the subtitles change from the translation of the quote into:
My God, I'm blind!
Wtf? Was it some joke by the subtitler, since the screen was fading to white when it appeared? Or was it something that appeared in Russian but got lost in translation? (The quote didn't seem to include that statement, but I don't read/speak Russian)

I noticed this, too. That line was said earlier in the movie when all the lights went out in the gym and one of the jurors exclamed 'My God. I'm blind!'.

I think it somehow got entered there at the end by mistake somehow with the subtitle transcription.

That line was to emphasize that these men were blind, in regards to "justice".

One interpretation is the whole movie is far more ambivalent than it at first seems, even to the point that the opening and closing quotations are tongue-in-cheek or even ironic. Perhaps the "My God, I'm blind!" subtitle underscores the ambivalence in the closing quotation.

Or perhaps it calls attention to the made-up nature of the quotation, including one interpretation that the name it's attributed to is a sort of slang shorthand for "a crazy old lady" or perhaps "unthinking folklore".

(Mikhalkov has a reputation as as a rather nostalgic, conservative, ultra-nationalist, allied with the current Russian government. Yet on reflection, the movie's presentation of the Chechen Wars is not nearly as pro-Russian as one would expect from that reputation:-)
