question about icon in glass case
Did the juror steal the religious icon from the glass case after the jury deliberation was complete? If so, what is that about? This is the scene where the juror "talks" to the bird.
shareIt takes very close watching, but you can see he placed the icon in the glass case himself at the beginning of the deliberation, and glances back at it periodically for inspiration or aid. It was always his; he wasn't stealing anything. It's easy to interpret the icon as a symbol of "light, hope. belief, and justice".
