No women jurors???

Please explain why there was not a single female juror?

reply

Because it's based on '12 Angry MEN'.

reply

that's a moronic reply... The movie is called '12' not '12 angry men' and it's a reinterpretation so since the setting, characters and individual plots are not the same... why wouldn't there be a female juror? In the original movie, it was because women couldn't be on juries at the time in the US... I guess the OP wants to know if it's the same here.

It's funny because I thought there'd be one. It is after all a modern take on the original story albeit in a different country with a different use of the story.

Because big decisions should not be left in the hands of women. Too many hormones.

Yeah, one has to have so much more confidence in these slobbering, assaultive knee-jerk voters for guilt (untll the one guy somehow halts them) than we'd get with some hormonal women!

reply

I agree, woman should not be trusted with matters of life and death...don't you know, their menstruation attract bears, and in deliberations of a jury a single bear can be a huge problem.

reply

Atimov, you are hilarious! thank you for putting this in perspective.

reply

no hormones = no sex glands, ergo guys who are afraid of hormonal influences among jury members must have no gonads (gonad envy)
Studies show that mixed-sex deliberations = better outcomes. The less diversity of any kind, the poorer the quality of decisionmaking is likely to be. That's a fact.
From that point of view it makes more sense that there would be 11 morons on this jury.

You're the moron here. The movie is called "12 razgnevannyh muzhchin" according to IMDB, or "12 angry men". Learn to read before you spout feminazi nonsense, you whore.

This film, in my viewpoint, is neither a remade of the 1957's, nor any ties to the 1957's. The only similarity is the jury is formed of 12 jurors.

And why is the 1957's no women jurors?
Could it be American women only got right to vote in 1950's?

I would assume the 2007's "12", the defendant's background, his religion, might be the cause of no women jurors.

reply

I wondered this as well. I had decided women were not allowed to be jurors in Russia, but didn't realize it was a remake of a different movie. I think that is the case, correct?

reply

because the only woman was busy being the damn judge!

Scriptwriting for female characters...it's impossible!!!

reply

There were no female jurors because when they did jury selection, they didn't select any females.

I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!!
