Bring back Dragon Hunters, Cartoon Network!!

Another perfectly wonderful cartoon becomes the victim of a terrible timeslot. Dragon Hunters wasn't really the kind of show young kids would watch, but its timeslot placed it right smack dab in the middle of cruddy kiddiesville. There were only twenty six or so episodes made in its native country, so it couldn't have been too much of a strain for Cartoon Network to air it in its entirety. But what do they do? Can it after only five episodes. Dragon Hunters was a refreshing cartoon that did many things different from the average kiddy show, but it gets punished for that. It's replacement? Code Name: Kids Next Door. One of the most god awful cartoons ever created that they show enough of in other timeslots anyway. And many other crappy shows get multiple showings as well while Dragon Hunters fades into obscurity. Very well done, Cartoon Network. I hope Nickelodeon beats the pants off of you because now all you have worth watching is Adult Swim and Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends.

As much as I'd hate to admit it, I HIGHLY agree. I used to be a huge fan of Cartoon Network, but as of late all they've started dishing out are mindless cruddy shows. I also personally don't care for the newest two shows that they've started showing and trying to force on everyone. During the whole airing of Dragon Hunters the ONLY commercials I ever een were mainly boasting about Ben 10 or My Gym partner is a Monkey. Personally I don't like EITHER of those shows very much at all. YES, I did give them a chance as well -before- Dragon Hunters went off the air.

I used to be a huge fan of Kids Nextdoor and So, so many other shows. However, due to all of the recent things that Cartoon Network has been dishing out, I...i've lost interest in ALOT of shows. The only ones I care to watch now are Ed Edd n Eddy, Fullmetal Alchemist and Naruto.

My BIGGEST problem with them removing Dragon Hunters is by the time I actually managed to find it on their TV and started watching it, I had only seen -3- episodes. ONLY 3! The WORST part about that is that I was -hooked- after those three episodes and ...that third episode turned out to be the last one. *frowns* For 2 weeks I searched and kept hope for Dragon Hunters to be returned to Television so that I could watch it. However, there has been no such luck. I believe this show was HORRIBLY handled by Cartoon Network.

This was one of THEE best cartoons I have watched in a VERY long time. It had comedy and action and great lessons in it! The artwork was so BEAUTIFULLY done, and the character designs were perfect! I loved how it was so much different, it wasn't brainless like those other shows. It was as many people have put it a VERY nice breath of FRESH air. The voice actors of this series have been amazing as well. I wish there were some way for me to contact Rick Jones, one of the voice actors in the show, just to tell him how much he rocked.

Way to go Cartoon Network with placing Dragon Hunters in crappy time slots with NO advertising. *smirks* Ever stop to think THAT'S why you had bad ratings? Well, I'm not watching too much of Cartoon Network anymore to be quite honest. BRING BACK DRAGON HUNTERS CARTOON NETWORK!! DO SOMETHIN' SMART FOR ONCE EY!? *Flails*

The scuttlebutt on the internet says that it's coming back. I checked tvguide.com, and lo and behold, it got its listing back. Hopefully it'll stick. Twenty something episodes is NOT too much to ask for.

I'm from Europe and given that dragon hunters is a french/chinese production but got aired in the US amazes me!

Anyways, I was really depressed when I found out that they only made 26 episodes. That cartoon is really the best production of the last 5-10 years. What caught my eye first was the drawing style - incredible!
What a change from all that nervous-breakdown-like japanese cartoons or just plain studpid other ones.

I so wish they would go and make some more episodes.
Some piece of trivia: Lian Chu's voice is dubbed by the guy who usually dubbs Johnny Depp.

The only thing networks care about are ratings. Whatever gets the most possible viewers to sit down and watch the show, doesn't matter what it is. Capitalism doesn't exactly favor art.
