perveza

Was Just WOndering - if the character of Pervez Merchant had been a female one (and that of Nishi a male).

It would have read - "Perveza is a woman who lacks love in her life. her husband does not support her rise in the corporate world and she does not get any love from marriage. A small piece of praise from a rival executive Nishikant raises her spirits no end and the woman in her awakens. However, she is left high and dry when Nish goes on to party with his sardarni friends elsewhere. In the hotel disc she runs into a handsome hulk gigolo who promises her a good night's experience without any strings attached. She enjoys the night as she never did with her husband. However, this hunk has been paid much higher by nishikant who hacks into Perveza's laptop and steals all the data which contains months of her hard work. She is again left high and dry when she is fired for her small indiscretion and all the hard work she has put in for Marwahs has been ignored"

What say!!!!

I know what you mean, It would be the greatest female role ever, potentially, although not on the level of the Mother Indias, Basantis etc.

Not Exactly- What i meant was that SOME critics or writers use different yardsticks for men and women. If a man strays, he is a cheater, if a woman does som, it is because she lacks love in her life and so on. if a guy tries crooked means to climb the corpo ladder, he is being unethical. if a girl tries it, she is 'clear on her goal'. i doubt whether any girl who tries to pimp some one for info would mind pesticides in soft drink!

But if the role is written in neutral shades, it'd definitely be cool.
