I love this movie. Seems like an old cliche World War Two love story but it tears me down. I was crying half of the time. The casting crew were fantastic. The troupers did an amazing job. And the Irish part of the movie is just too funny and hilarious with that puffy accent. It's a good movie.
shareI'm with you. It's a great movie. Cliched but fabulous. You get in it and it wraps itself around you and Shirley McClaine REALLY does the business.
And the young Michael McCann is absolutely terrific.

I really enjoyed this movie. I didn't have expectations though. I had never heard of it, read anything about it, I didn't even know what it was about. So I was pleasantly surprised. And cliches don't always make a bad film. I actually thought it was really good.
