Hokey night-time outdoor sets

I liked this premiere, but in the outdoor night-time scenes: the sets, cinematography, art direction, lighting, and lensing (and possibly CGI) are so hokey, I feel like I'm watching Tim Burton or bad Spielberg or Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. I don't know if they are trying to set some odd kind of mood, or simply saving money on set construction, or what, but it totally takes away from the credibility of the show to have such fakey-looking outdoor night-time sets/images.

Please for God's sake fix the spelling in your subject line.
