Any characters missing?
I read the book 5 years ago and for some reason I thought there was another American in addition to Jack and Leo. Am I mistaken?
shareYeah, that was Ebby. He's not completely missing, his part's just been extremely downsized. There are several others we won't/haven't seen as well, but it's a pretty long list. I'm enjoying this adaptation, but I do miss one of my favorite character's: Millie.
shareMillie? Wasn't Ebby the one who went to Hungary and came back w/a wife? Also wasn't his son the one who also joined the Agency and married Jack's step daughter? It was a huge book so I don't expect we'll see everyone, but it should be good still.

Millie was Jack's wife, and she was a snarky pistol at that. And yes, Ebby went to Hungary and brought back Elizabet and her daughter Nellie. And Ebby's son Manny did indeed join The Company, in fact, most of the CIA:Next Generation characters did. Jack's son joined the CIA, as well. Nellie had a romance with someone, and I think it was Jack's son with Millie. I remember when Jack and Millie rushed to the hospital to see their grandson and I think Nellie was the mother. But it's been a while since I read the book, and yes, it was quite huge. I think the miniseries has been doing a nice job, but - as always - the novel's better. Nothing new in regards to adaptations.
